All-American wide receiver Dominique Edison has been named the 31-best "small school" player according to Josh Buchanan of the nfldraftbible.com. The small school list consists of all players from non-NCAA Division I FBS schools.
Edison was a first-team All-Southland Conference selection who recorded one of the best seasons in school and conference history. He set a new SLC record, and finished second in the nation with 18 touchdown receptions in 2008. Edison finished the year ranked among the league's top five in scoring (9.2 ppg), receptions (5.58 rpg) and receiving yards (84.7 ypg).
Edison closed out his career with 28 touchdown receptions, which ranks second all-time in conference history. He leaves SFA as the school's all-time leader with 182 career receptions, single-season touchdown receptions leader (18) and is second all-time in school history with 28 touchdown receptions and 2,696 receiving yards.
Edison is currently one of only six Southland Conference athletes ranked in the lists top 31. The web site projects Edison to be a 7th round selection in the upcoming NFL draft.
