AGAINST THE COWBOYS The Cowboys lead the all-time series 24-12 dating back to 1984, but it was SFA that got the last win - an 11-3 win in the SLC Tournament in 2007.
FOLLOW THE 'JACKS RADIO: Saturday and Sunday's games can be heard live on KSFA 860 AM with Ben Rikard on the call.

UPDATING THE 'JACKS The `Jacks escaped a difficult midweek schedule with a win in three tries, falling in extra innings in the other two games. SFA is now 3-3 in its last six games.
UP NEXT After wrapping up a difficultly scheduled week, SFA wraps up its season series with the University of Houston with a single midweek game scheduled for Tuesday in Houston. That will be followed by UT-Arlington visiting Nacogdoches for the second consecutive season after the `Jacks took two of three games from the Mavs in a late-season series a year ago. The `Jacks also beat UTA 12-6 in a non-conference meeting earlier this season in Edinburg.
What To Watch For:
- SFA has not played the Cowboys since the second round of the 2007 SLC Tournament. That afternoon the `Jacks exploded for seven runs in the first inning and added a Kevin Crabtree grand slam in the fourth to cruise to an 11-3 win and eliminate the Cowboys. David Jeans went 5-for-5 that afternoon as well on his way to all-tournament honors.
- Richard Folmer needs just one more save to pass Kyle Standley for the all-time lead at SFA with 16. Folmer is currently riding a 10.1 scoreless inning streak, having only allowed one hit over his last seven appearances that has spanned 6.0 innings. The last run he allowed was March 22 against Nicholls in a non-save situation.
- This weekend's series will likely prove crucial in deciding what team's qualify for the SLC Tournament in Corpus Christi following the regular season. Currently, Nicholls holds a 1.5-game edge on SFA for the final spot in the tournament while the Cowboys are just 2.0 back of the Colonels.
- So far this year the majority of SFA's games have been ultimately decided before the 8th inning. The `Jacks are ahead after eight innings they have not missed out on an opportunity to win going 11-0 in those games; however, SFA is 0-16 in games that they trail heading into the 9th.
- Erich Lehmann needs just 3.1 more innings to add that SFA record to his already stellar career resume. The senior from Fort Worth has already set new SFA records for wins and strikeouts this season, and has gone at least 6.0 innings in winning each of his last two starts.
