'Jacks Add Florida Defensive Back

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team added another standout defensive back Wednesday afternoon with the addition of Caleb Nelson head coach J.C. Harper announced Wednesday afternoon. Nelson's signing brings the 'Jacks' 2009 class to 25 athletes, including seven in the secondary.
Nelson is a 6-0, 182-pound prospect from Apopka, Fla., who was a four-year letterwinner as a defensive back. A second-team all-metro selection as a receiver, Nelson also earned honorable mention honors in the secondary.
Nelson is a versatile athlete lettering in football, basketball and volleyball during his high school career. He also earned first-team all-metro honors as a volleyball player.
