FootballScoop.com has recognized Stephen F. Austin defensive coordinator David Gibbs, and his staff, for the Lumberjacks' performance this weekend against No. 7 McNeese State. The Lumberjacks limited McNeese State to just 13 points, while holding All-American running back Toddrick Pendland to 47 yards on 18 carries.

The Lumberjacks are 4-1 (.800) on the season, and 1-0 in Southland Conference play as they prepare to face No. 10 Central Arkansas Saturday in Conway, Ark. The Bears enter Saturday's contest with an identical 4-1/1-0 record. The game is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Estes Stadium, and will be televised on the Southland Television Network.
