Ross Named SLC Athlete of the Week

FRISCO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack hurdler Zach Ross has been named Southland Conference Male Athlete of the Week announced league officials Wednesday afternoon. It marks the second time in the past three weeks that Ross has received the honor.
The Longview, Texas, native, was dominant in the 110-meter, and 400-meter hurdles at the Tom Tellez/Houston Invitational this past week. Ross recorded an NCAA regional qualifying mark of 13.97 to finish third in the 110-meter hurdles. He returned to the track to post another regional mark in the 400-meter hurdles. Ross clocked a time of 52.28 to finish fifth in the event.
The SFA track and field team returns to action Friday when they travel to Huntsville, Texas, to open the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships. The championship meet will run through Sunday.
