SFA Releases Spring Football Schedule

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team will begin its 2008 Spring Schedule with its first of 14 official workouts Monday, March 31 announced head coach J.C. Harper Tuesday morning. The Lumberjacks will also hold three scheduled scrimmages culminating in the annual Spring Game Saturday, April 19 at 6 p.m., which coincides with the annual Mud Bugs and Mud Balls tournament.
The practices are slated to begin at approximately 3:30 p.m. and will be held at Homer Bryce Stadium. Following its first workout, SFA will hold three other practices before taking to the field for their first scrimmage Saturday, April 5 at 9 a.m. The second scrimmage will be held Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m. All workouts are free and open to the public.
Along with the 'Jacks' practice dates, the Lumberjacks have also scheduled their Pro Day for Tuesday, March 18, at Homer Bryce Stadium. SFA will open the 2008 regular season Saturday, Aug. 30, against Langston. The game against Langston is scheduled to kickoff at 6 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium.
