NACOGDOCHES, Texas - We only had one match this weekend at home against McNeese, ergo this is going to be a rather thin entry. The match started at 2pm, and the first two games went relatively quickly, and we went into our 10-minute break with a nice two game cushion. To put it nicely, we started out a little slow in game three, allowing the Cowgirls to gain a ridiculously unacceptable lead that we should never let any team get. However, we did redeem ourselves a little by the end of that game, only losing by four. We fought hard in game four and finished the match off.
Post-match we had a little celebration welcoming a new addition to the Yale family. Presents were opened, cake was eaten, and laughs were shared. Somehow my roommates and I ended up with about thirty sandwiches and several two liter bottles of soda, or coke or pop, - whatever you prefer.
This week will be much busier for us as we play Louisiana Tech on Tuesday at 7, Nicholls State on Friday at 7, and Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday at 2.
Word of the week: Chasm - n. a profound difference between people, viewpoints or feelings. Ex.: The chasm between beliefs on who will be Southland Conference champions will continue to narrow as the Ladyjacks continue to be victorious in conference play.
