
Ladyjacks Control Net In Win Over Warhawks

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Ladyjack volleyball team picked up its second win of the Ladyjack Invitational Saturday morning with a 3-0 (30-9, 30-12, 30-15) win over Louisiana-Monroe.
SFA(5-4, 0-0) hit .352 for the match, putting up no lower than a .333 percentage in any of the three games. Debbie Humphreys' group is hitting a combined..346 in the two matches of the tournament.
The Warhawks (0-11, 0-0) had trouble with the Ladyjacks' size at the net, not picking up a single block compared to SFA's 12 team blocks.
Eight Ladyjacks made their way in to the kill column, led by Traci Rohde and Shelly Swendig with nine apiece. JJ Jones just missed a double-double with 22 assists and nine digs in addition to her five kills.
Rohde would finish with six blocks on the afternoon, followed by Briana Taylor with five.
In the early match Tulsa head coach Ed Allen recorded his 400th career win in a 3-0 sweep of Northwestern State. The Lady Demons and Louisiana-Monroe will square off at 4:30 this afternoon, followed by the finale of the Ladyjack Invitational: SFA against Tulsa at 7:00 p.m.
Tulsa comes in on an eight match win streak while SFA has won its last four.
