
Burdge Named Assistant AD for Student Services

NACOGDOCHES - Amber Burdge has been named Assistant Athletics Director for Student Services SFA Director of Athletics Robert Hill announced Monday afternoon.
"We're extremely happy to have Amber join our staff," said Hill. "Academic success is our number one concern. Amber has the experience and knowledge to help our athletes accomplish their academic goals."
Burdge comes to Nacogdoches from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi where she spent the past year serving as the assistant athletics director for academics and the senior woman administrator. During her time in Corpus Christi, Burdge monitored the academic progress of all student-athletes, while coordinating academic support services for the men's and women's basketball teams. She also participated in the NCAA Champs/Life Skills Program for Islander athletics, as well as handling administrative responsibilities for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Prior to her stay in Corpus Christi, Burdge spent the previous year at Cleveland State serving as the Athletic Academic Advisor for Men's and Women's Basketball and At-Risk Student-Athletes. Burdge has also spent four years working for academic services at Oklahoma State. During her time in Stillwater, Burdge served as a mentor for the OSU football team, as well as helping oversee the academic progress of the student-athletes.
