Thirty-Two Student-Athletes, Trainers Participate in SFA Commencement

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - With the coming of May, college seniors from around the country prepare to take part in graduation ceremonies. Things are no different at Stephen F. Austin, or in the SFA athletics department. Thirty-two SFA athletes and student trainers took part in commencement ceremonies Saturday afternoon. Among the 32, 10 trainers and two athletes received their master¹s degrees, including former All-Southland Conference athletes Andrew Fleck (football) and Stevina Wyatt (track and field).
Including Fleck, the SFA football team had four graduates on Saturday. First-team All-SLC quarterback Danny Southall, Tobi Kaiyewu and Aaron De LaTorre. The SFA track and field team led the way eight graduates. The Ladyjack softball team graduated five athletes, while soccer, volleyball and baseball each had one graduate.
