Weaver Named Academic All-Conference

FRISCO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin forward Scott Weaver has been named to the 2007 Southland Conference Men's Basketball All-Academic Team, announced Wednesday by league officials. Weaver was a second-team honoree on the list.
The Carrollton, Texas, native started every game but one for the Lumberjacks in his junior season. He finished the year with 3.4 points per game and was fourth on the team in rebounding with 3.4 boards per contest. Weaver's .778 free throw percentage was the third-best average on the squad. He helped lead the Lumberjacks to a 15-14 record and a berth in the SLC Tournament with an 8-8 league mark.
Weaver is a kinesiology major. This marks his first selection to the Academic All-SLC team.
