NORTH AURORA, Ill. - Senior safety Keldrick Holman received honorable mention All-America honors according to Don Hansen's Football Gazette Monday afternoon.
Holman led the Southland's Conference's top-ranked defense as a senior. SFA finished the season ranked first in the league in scoring defense, rush defense and total defense. Holman finished the 2006 season fourth in the league with 86 tackles, including 34 solo stops, and was fifth in the conference in interceptions.
A 2006 preseason All-America selection, Holman earned second-team All-America honors by the Sports Network, and Don Hansen's Football Gazette First-Team All-America honors as a junior. He concluded his career at SFA by earning his second consecutive first-team All-SLC selection.
It marks the second national honor Holman has received this past season. He was also named AP Third-Team All-American earlier this season.
