Lumberjack Family Suffers Loss

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin athletics department family suffered a tremendous loss over the weekend when Frances Kaspar, mother of Lumberjack basketball head coach Danny Kaspar, passed away. Mrs. Kaspar passed on Sunday, Feb. 18, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Her memorial services are set for Thursday, Feb. 22, in Corpus Christi. Services will be held at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Maxwell P. Dunn Funeral Home. Those wishing to make a personal memorial for Mrs. Kaspar are asked to do so by making a contribution in her name to The American Cancer Society, through the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative.
