WACO, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks lost 11-1 in eight innings Friday night at Baylor. The `Jacks' lone run came in the fourth inning when Chris Smith scored from second on a Ryan Sinclair single up the middle. SFA falls to 2-5 on the year while Baylor wins its second straight and sits with a 2-3 overall mark.
For SFA, Erich Lehmann suffered his first loss of the season after giving up 10 hits and eight runs in 3.1 innings of work. At the plate, two Lumberjacks recorded two runs. Noel Trevino was 2-for-4 in his first start at SFA. Jeremy Arterburn was also 2-for-4.
The Lumberjacks and the Bears will face off again Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. from Baylor Ballpark.
