
Egenti Named SLC Player of the Week

FRISCO, Texas - Senior post Charity Egenti has been named Southland Conference Player of the Week announced league officials Monday afternoon. It marks the second time this season that Egenti has received the award, and the third time that an SFA player has received the honor.
Egenti led the team to consecutive victories to start the Southland Conference season. Egenti came off the bench to score 18 points and grab a career-high 19 rebounds at Nicholls State. She followed that up with another double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 caroms. Egenti finished the week averaging 14.0 points, 14.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals.
Egenti is currently sixth in the league averaging 14.6 points per game and leads the SLC with her 9.2 rebounds per game. She has also become a defensive force in the low post during her senior year averaging 1.6 blocks per game, which ties her for second in the league.
The Ladyjacks return to action Thursday when they host Lamar. The game against the Lady Cardinals is slated to begin at 7 p.m. from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
