NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team was treated to dinner Thursday night at the ZTA house. The Lumberjacks, in conjunction with the ZTAs, have been working to promote breast cancer awareness on the SFA campus and in the community.
The Lumberjacks will be taking on No. 11 North Dakota State Saturday at 6 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium. The game is being promoted as a "Pink Out" in support of breast cancer awareness. Fans are urged to come to the game and support the purple and white, while wearing pink.
ZTA will be at the gates handing out pink shirts, ribbons and shower cards while supplies last. Yoplait lids will also be collected at the gates, to help raise money for breast cancer awareness. Local breast cancer survivors will also be in attendance at the game.
Saturday's game will mark the 'Jacks' final non-conference battle before they open league play next week at defending NCAA Division I-AA semifinalist, Texas State. The game against the Bobcats is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Bobcat Stadium.
