Twenty-Four Athletes Prepare for Graduation

NACOGDOCHES - Now that final exams have concluded Stephen F. Austin will be graduating 24 athletes in Saturday's commencement ceremony. Among the 24 athletes, Ladyjack basketball player Kirby Killingsworth and former football standout Jeremy Stolfa are receiving their master's degrees.
Four Ladyjack athletes are graduating among the top of their classes. Robin Houston, Colleen Lonergan and Amelia Mayeaux are graduating Cum Laude, while 2006 Kathy McGough Academic Athlete of the Year, Lauren Stevens, is graduating Summa Cum Laude.
SFA placed 42 athletes on the Hibernia Bank/SLC Commissioner's 2005 Fall Academic Honor Roll last semester. Among those athletes eight were seniors, two were SLC Student-Athlete of the Year selections in their respective sports and Lauren Cramer was named the SLC Volleyball MVP.
Along with its athletes, SFA will also be graduating six students who served the athletics department in a support role, including four graduate assistants and three trainers.
Commencement ceremonies will be Saturday, May 13 at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
