
Senior LaToya Mills Earns League Honor

PLANO, Texas - Senior LaToya Mills was named Southland Conference Player of the Week announced league officials Saturday afternoon. It marks the second time this season that Mills has received the honor.
Mills guided the Ladyjacks to victories against Louisiana-Monroe and Sam Houston State to wrap up the 2006 Southland Conference title Friday night. Mills averaged 22.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in the two games as the Ladyjacks recorded wins No. 19 and 20 on the season. She finished the week 16-for-26 (.615) from the floor.
The top-seeded Ladyjacks will host Lamar Monday in the opening round of the Southland Conference Championships. The game against the Lady Cardinals is slated to begin at 7 p.m. from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
