
SFA to Face 4th-Seeded Arizona State

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks are the No. 13 seed in the Albuquerque Bracket and will face fourth-seeded Arizona State in the first round of the NCAA Championships Saturday, March 18th in Tucson, Ariz. The game time has not yet been released.
The Ladyjacks are making their 18th appearance in the NCAA Championships, but the first since the 2001-02 season. The Ladyjacks finished the year 23-7 (.767) overall and won the 2006 Southland Conference regular-season title. The Ladyjacks defeated Texas-San Antonio, 56-48, Saturday in the SLC Championship game to earn the league's automatic bid into the NCAA's field of 64.
The Ladyjacks are 10-17 (.370) all-time in the NCAA Championships, but haven't won a game in the NCAA tournament since defeating Xavier, 73-72, in the first round of the 2000 NCAA Championships. The Ladyjacks have advanced as far as the NCAA Sweet 16 five times in school history.
