BEAUMONT, Texas - Leading the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks to their 15th straight win of the season, sophomore Lauren Railey's 18 kills and 11 digs led SFA to a 3-0 (30-23, 30-19, 30-23) victory over the Lamar Cardinals Saturday night at the Montagne Center. The win keeps the Ladyjacks perfect in Southland Conference action with a 9-0 record and sends their overall record to 20-3. Lamar is 9-15 on the season with a 5-4 SLC record.
Along with Railey, Traci Rohde and Shelly Swendig pitched in with double-digit kills with 15 and 12, respectively. Rohde also had four total blocks in the match. JJ Jones dished out 47 assists.
For the second time this season, senior Stephanie Figgers collected 30 or more digs in a three-game match with 31, and Jami Hill's 15 digs gave her double-digit kills for the second straight night.
The Ladyjacks will look to add to their win streak when they travel to Huntsville Tuesday to face Sam Houston State. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start from Johnson Coliseum.
