HOUSTON - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team was shutout by Houston Sunday at Hobbs Court. The Cougars recorded a 7-0 victory over SFA.
Houston swept all three doubles matches to take the lead, 1-0.
Junior Laura Harrison took an early 5-4 lead in the first set of the No. 1 seed match but Houston's Loli Gomez battled back to win both sets, 7-5 and 6-1.
SFA could not battle back as they went winless in the next five matches.
The Ladyjacks were scheduled to face Lee College on Saturday in Houston but the match was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Ladyjacks will return to the court on February 3, 2006 against Abilene Christian in Abilene. The match is slated to begin at 12:30 p.m.
