Ladyjacks Face McNeese State

The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack basketball team, winners of four straight and eight of its last 10, enter Saturday's game against McNeese State (7-7/1-2 SLC) looking to stay a top the league race. The Ladyjacks are 9-5 (.643) overall and a perfect 3-0 in Southland Conference play after knocking off Lamar, 80-58, Thursday night in Beaumont. The Cowgirls are coming off a 57-53 victory over Sam Houston State two nights ago and have won four of their last six games. McNeese State is currently tied for sixth in the league race.
The Coaches: Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack head coach Lee Ann Riley is 69-59 (.539) in her fifth season with SFA. She is 200-117 (.631) in her 11th season as a head coach. McNeese State head coach Carol Sensley is 43-81 (.347) in her fifth season with the Cowgirls.
SFA vs. the Cowgirls: The Ladyjacks own a 34-7 (.829) record in the all-time series against McNeese State, but the Cowgirls have had some success of late. McNeese State has won four of the last five meetings, with the lone Ladyjack victory being a 62-50 decision in Nacogdoches last year. The Cowgirls recorded a 71-53 victory in Lake Charles to record a split in the season series. SFA will be looking to put an end to McNeese State's three-game win streak in Lake Charles.
No. 200: The Ladyjacks 80-58 victory over Lamar was career milestone for Ladyjack head coach Lee Ann Riley. The victory marked career-win No. 200 for Riley.
Record Setters: The Ladyjacks tied a school record by nailing 11 three-pointers Thursday night at Lamar. SFA finished the game 11-for-23 (.478) from beyond the arc. The Ladyjacks set the record earlier this season when they recorded 11 three-pointers at Tulsa. Senior Britany Vinson led the Ladyjacks with a 4-of-7 (.571) performance, while classmate Kirby Killingsworth was 3-of-5 (.600).
Offensive Production: The Ladyjacks have really picked the offensive output since opening league play. The Ladyjacks have scored at least 80 points in their last four games, including all three Southland Conference games, and are averaging 81 points per game in league contests this season. The Ladyjacks currently lead the conference in scoring offense (75.4 ppg), field-goal percentage (.437) and are second in three-point field goal percentage (.381).
