Figgers, Cramer Take SLC Honors

PLANO, Texas - Juniors Stephanie Figgers and Laura Cramer were named the Aeropostale Southland Conference Players of the week, announced league officials Tuesday.
After leading the Ladyjacks to a 4-0 weekend at the Iowa State Cyclone Classic tournament, Figgers was named the tournament MVP after posting 84 digs, an average of 5.25 a game and adding five service aces for the weekend.
Cramer posted 71 kills in the four matches, averaging 4.44 kills per game with a .281 attack percentage. She also had 38 digs and 10 total blocks.
This is the second consecutive week Cramer and Figgers have been given the SLC honor.
SFA will next take the court on Friday, Sept. 9, at the Crowne Plaza Invitational in Tulsa, Okla. The Ladyjacks will face Grambling State on Friday before taking on Louisiana-Lafayette and Tulsa on Saturday.
