
Lumberjack Football Players Help Out at Wal-Mart

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team took a break from beating on each other Saturday afternoon, and helped Wal-Mart patrons beat the heat. The SFA football team showed up at the Nacogdoches Wal-Mart Supercenter to help shoppers carry bags to their cars. They also handed out refreshments to give patrons some relief from the heat.
The Lumberjacks' four team captains Matt Bodley, Matt Hoelscher, Ryan Luedecke and James Shead were also on hand to sign autographs for Lumberjack fans. Players also handed out 2005 football schedules as well.
The `Jacks will be back on the practice field Sunday night at 7:30 in Homer Bryce Stadium. Practices are free and open to the public.
The Lumberjacks kick off the 2005 season Thursday against Henderson State. The game against the Reddies will begin at 7 p.m. in Homer Bryce Stadium.
