SAN ANTONIO - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team snapped Texas-San Antonio's three-match win streak as it extended its own to 16-straight when it swept the Roadrunners, 3-0, on Friday night in Southland Conference action at the Convocation Center.
Led by junior Laura Cramer, the Ladyjacks battled the Roadrunners in a close Game 1 but took the win, 32-30. In Game 2, SFA never gave up the lead to cruise to a 30-23 win before closing out the night's match 30-25.
Cramer led the night with 18 kills, followed by sophomore Traci Rohde's 11. Cramer also added 15 digs to earn her 14th double-double of the season.
Sophomore Jami Hill took over defensively for the Ladyjacks, leading the squad with 16 digs on the night. She also had one service ace.
Senior Jessica Watson and freshman Shelly Swendig each put up five total blocks on the night.
The Ladyjacks' victory leaves them flawless in SLC action at 15-0. They extended their overall record to 23-2.
In other SLC Friday night action, the Sam Houston State Bearkats fell to the Texas State Bobcats, 3-1, in San Marcos. Sam Houston's loss gives first-place Stephen F.
