The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team is inviting all area children to come out and enjoy NCAA Division I football first hand. SFA is participating in the eighth annual "Take A Kid to the Game" (TAKG) program. All children ages 14-and-under will receive free admission to the game. In addition to the free admission for children, SFA will also be selling hot dogs for $1.
SFA is one of more than 200 schools across the country participating in the campaign that is focused on allowing youth the opportunity to attend college football games.
"We look forward to having kids from the community be apart of our game-day experience and support NCAA Football's Take A Kid to the Game program," said SFA Athletics Director Robert Hill. "This event is a great opportunity for children to spend quality time with a parent or role model while learning about the fundamentals of college football in a family-oriented atmosphere that is SFA football."
Tickets for this special game are available at the SFA Ticket Office. For more information, contact the ticket office at (936) 468-JACK.
The `Jacks will host UC Davis Saturday at Homer Bryce Stadium. The game against the Aggies is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
