Figgers Named SLC Player of the Week

PLANO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack, Stephanie Figgers, has been named the Aeropostale Southland Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 26-October 1, league officials announced Monday afternoon.
Last week, she helped the Ladyjacks to victories over Northwestern State and Sam Houston State with 43 digs, averaging 6.14 digs per game, in the two matches combined.
Her conference leading digs (295) and digs per game average (5.46) have helped the Katy, Texas native earn the SLC Player of the Week honor four times during the 2005 season.
SFA is 12-2 overall with a 5-0 SLC mark. The Ladyjacks will return to the court on Tuesday, October 4 at 7 p.m. at the Shelton Gymnasium. They will face Louisiana Tech in their last scheduled non-conference game of the 2005 season.
