
Ladyjack Volleyball Hosts Texas State

NACOGDOCHES - For the first time this season, Stephen F. Austin and Texas State are meeting on the volleyball court for a rematch of last season's championship match at the Southland Conference Championship Tournament. The face-off between 2004's co-champions will be on Tuesday at the William R. Johnson Coliseum beginning at 7 p.m.
The Ladyjacks, who were picked to finish in first place in the preseason coaches' poll, come into the match with a 20-2 overall record. SFA is still undefeated in conference play at 12-0.
Picked to finish right behind the Ladyjacks, the Bobcats are currently sitting in third place, behind Sam Houston State, with a 9-2 conference record. The conference losses came against Sam Houston and Texas-San Antonio. Overall, Texas State is 11-8 on the year.
Leading the `Cats are Elizabeth Nwoke with 3.72 kills per game and Amy Ramirez who is averaging 3.84 digs per game. Erin Hickman is dishing out 11.85 assists per game.
