
Figgers Named SLC Player of the Week

PLANO, Texas - Junior Stephanie Figgers was named the Aeropostale Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts on the volleyball court during the week of Oct. 17-Oct. 22, league officials announced on Monday.
The 5-4 Katy native had 64 digs for an average of 5.82 per game in three matches played last week. She had 29 digs in the Ladyjacks' 3-2 win at Sam Houston State last Tuesday. She chipped in with 25 at Southeastern Louisiana on Friday before ending the weekend with 10 digs at Nicholls State on Saturday.
This marks the fifth time the libero has been given player of the week accolades this season.
The Ladyjacks will return to the court on Tuesday when they host SLC foe Texas State at 7 p.m. at the William R. Johnson Coliseum. Leading the SLC with a perfect 12-0 conference record, SFA is carrying a 20-2 overall record into the match.
