
SFA Moves into Top 25

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team will enter its game against McNeese State ranked 24th in the nation according to the latest Sports Network top 25 poll Matt Dougherty of The Sports Network announced Monday afternoon.
The Lumberjacks are 4-1 (.800) overall and 1-0 in Southland Conference play after defeating Nicholls State, 27-21 in overtime this past Saturday. The `Jacks have won three straight games as they prepare to face McNeese State, who also enters the week new to the top 25 poll. The Cowboys are ranked 25th in the country.
The Lumberjacks return to action Saturday against McNeese State. The game against the Cowboys has been set for a 4 p.m. kick off at Cajun Stadium in Lafayette, La. The game has been relocated from Lake Charles, La., due to the effects of Hurricane Rita.
