`Jacks' Rossner Receives National Honor

NEW YORK, NY - The honors continue to roll in for Stephen F. Austin senior kicker Ryan Rossner. He was named College Sports Television Special Teams Player of the Week announced CSTV officials Tuesday afternoon. Rossner was also named Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week Monday afternoon.
Rossner nailed a 53-yard field goal as time expired to help propel the Lumberjacks to a 24-21 victory over Southern Utah. With the kick the Lumberjacks remained undefeated and are off to their best start since 1995. Rossner was also a perfect 3-of-3 on PATs and placed four kickoffs in the end zone for touchbacks.
The `Jacks will have an off-week before hosting Florida International on Saturday Oct. 9. The game is slated to kick-off at 7 p.m., at Homer Bryce Stadium.
