Ryan Rossner Named SLC Player of the Week

NACOGDOCHES - Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack senior kicker Ryan Rossner was named Southland Conference Special Team's Player of the Week, announced league officials Monday afternoon. It marks the third time this season a Lumberjack has received a player of the week honor and the first for Rossner.
Rossner helped SFA improve to 4-0 on the season with his six points against Southern Utah. Rossner was a perfect 3-of-3 on PATs and then stepped up to play the role of hero as he nailed a 52-yard field goal as time ran out. The victory propelled SFA to its best start since the 1995 season when the `Jacks raced out to a 7-0 start.
SFA has an off week before returning to action Saturday Oct. 9, to face Florida International. The game against the Golden Panthers is slated to get underway at 7 p.m., from Homer Bryce Stadium.
