NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Crews with Sportexe have been busy removing the old Astroturf 12 surface at Homer Bryce Stadium for the past week in order to install a new playing surface at the stadium for the 2004 season. The new surface, called Momentum 51, is being installed by Sportexe, Inc.
Homer Bryce Stadium will become the third collegiate stadium in the nation with the surface, joining Cal and Southern Mississippi. The Baltimore Ravens also have the surface at M&T Bank Stadium, in Baltimore.
Removal is almost complete and installation of the new surface should begin in the coming weeks. The project is scheduled for completion August 1.
