LAKE CHARLES, La. -- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack softball team (17-24, 7-12) dropped the first game of a Southland Conference doubleheader Thursdady afternoon in Lake Charles to McNeese State by a 3-0 final. McNeese State's Jessica Denham pitched a perfect game in picking up her eighth win of the year.
Crissy Autry worked 5.1 innings for SFA, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out eight and not walking a batter. The Cowgirls scored all three runs in the fourth inning.
