DENTON, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team was on the road over the weekend traveling to Abilene Christian and North Texas. SFA fell to Abilene Christian, 6-1, Friday afternoon. North Texas topped the Ladyjacks, 6-1, the following morning. The Ladyjacks are now, 2-3 (.500) on the season.
The Ladyjacks struggled in doubles play against both teams dropping all six matches. The Ladyjacks victories came from junior Robin Houston who defeated Abilene Christian's Rachel Taylor, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 1 singles. Sophomore Megan Langston beat the Mean Green's Ashley Sammis, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 3 singles on Saturday.
The Ladyjacks return to action Saturday when they host Tyler Junior College. The match against TJC is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., from the SFA Tennis Courts.
