
Figgers Name SLC Defensive Player of the Week

PLANO, Texas - Sophomore Stephanie Figgers was named Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week announced league officials Monday afternoon. It is the second time in her career that Figgers has received the award.
Figgers led the Ladyjacks to three victories last week improving the team's win streak to nine-straight matches. Figgers led all players in the league averaging 6.8 digs per game. She also set a school record with her 41-dig performance against Sam Houston State. Figgers also led the Ladyjacks with her seven service aces.
The Ladyjacks are currently 17-5 (.773) overall and in third place in the Southland Conference with a 9-3 (.750) league mark. SFA returns to action Thursday when they travel to San Marcos, Texas, to face league-leading Texas State. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
