
Memorial Fund Established For Wallace

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack head basketball coach Danny Kaspar announced today that a Greg Wallace Memorial Fund has been established at Huntington State Bank, in Nacogdoches. Wallace collapsed and died Friday afternoon while shooting baskets in the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
"A Greg Wallace Memorial Fund has been established at Huntington State Bank which will allow anyone interested in contributing, a chance to show support to the Wallace family at this tragic time. Greg's death has been a blow to the team, the coaches and the fans of the Lumberjack basketball team. We continue to offer as much emotional support as we can to his family and the memorial fund is a way for everyone to show their support for the Wallace's at this time," Kaspar said.
Huntington State Bank has six locations across East Texas and tellers at each location will be accepting donations to the fund beginning Monday. The Nacogdoches branch is located at 4822 North Street. Anyone interested in donating to the Greg Wallace Memorial Fund may drop off a donation at any of the six locations or mail a donation to -

Wallace transferred to Stephen F. Austin prior to the start of the fall semester after playing basketball for Army the past two years. He was sitting out this season fulfilling NCAA transfer requirements.
