NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team added Jessica Watson (Jewitt, Texas) to its roster Tuesday afternoon announced SFA head coach Debbie Humphreys. Watson is a 6-1 middle blocker who will have two years of eligibility with the Ladyjacks.
Watson spent the previous two seasons with Texas Tech where she tallied 105 kills and 73 total blocks. As a sophomore, Watson finished fifth on the Lady Raiders' roster with a .171 attack percentage.
"We are excited to have Jessica joining our program," said Humphreys. "The experience she brings to our team will be invaluable. I think our style of play is a little different from what she is used to but I think she will be quick to adjust and be another weapon in the middle for us."
The Ladyjacks finished the 2003 season with a 19-12 (.613) overall mark. The 2003 season marked the Ladyjacks' 12th consecutive winning season and the 17th consecutive trip to the Southland Conference Championships.
