Ladyjacks Fall to Texas-Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team fell to Southland Conference powerhouse Texas-Arlington, 5-1, Saturday afternoon. The Ladyjacks are now 2-5 (.286) on the season.
The Mavericks jumped out to a 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point. UTA won at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles to earn the point. The Mavericks added to their advantage after picking up victories at Nos. 1 and 2 singles. The Ladyjacks' point came at No. 6 singles, where freshman Megan Langston picked up a victory by default.
The Ladyjacks picked up their third victory of the season Friday with a 6-1 win over Laredo Community College. Gennan Houston led the way with her victory at No. 2 singles. SFA followed that up with consecutive victories at Nos. 3 through 5 singles by Emily Voss, Sandra Wolfe and Megan Langston, respectively.
The Ladyjacks return to action Saturday March 22nd, when they return home to take on league-foe Louisiana-Monroe. The match is slated to begin at 1 p.m., at the SFA tennis courts.
