
Brittany Burton Named SLC Player of the Week

PLANO, Texas - Junior middle blocker Brittany Burton was named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week announced league officials Monday afternoon. It is the third time this season and the second consecutive week that Burton has received the honor.
Burton led the Ladyjacks with 5.8 kills per game as SFA picked up two wins on the road. She finished the week with 46 total kills and a .405 attack percentage. She recorded a double-double against Southeastern Louisiana when she tied a career-high with 27 kills (.449 attack percentage) and recorded 17 digs. She also recorded 19 kills (.343 attack percentage) in the win at Nicholls State. Burton also finished the week with 23 digs (2.9 digs per game), 9 blocks (1.1 blocks per game), 3 assists and 2 service aces.
The Ladyjacks return to action Friday when they face Texas State. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m., from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
