Greg Barnum, a senior offensive lineman from Killeen, has been named to a third All-American Team after earning Second Team All-American honors from Don Hansen's Football Gazette. Barnum was earlier named as a member of both the Associated Press and Sports Network All-American teams following the 2002 season.
The 6-2, 302 pound center moved back to the offensive line after spending two years as a defensive tackle for the Lumberjacks. His move helped the 'Jacks reduce their sack total from 38 in 2001 to 12 sacks allowed in 2002. The offensive unit also saw its rushing productivity increase from 92.0 yards per game last season to 166.0 yards per game this year.
Anthony Dingle, a senior wide receiver from Tyler, also was an honorable mention All-American selection by the publication. It marks the second straight year Dingle was an honorable mention pick by Don Hansen's Football Gazette.
Dingle finished the 2002 season leading the team in receptions with 42 for 572 yards and five touchdowns. He finishes his Lumberjack career with 137 receptions which places him fourth on the all-time receptions list at the university.
