
Banks Earns SLC Player of the Week Honors

PLANO, Texas -- B.J. Banks, a junior guard from Gainseville, has been named the Southland Conference Player of the Week in a vote of sports information directors in the Southland Conference. Banks helped the 'Jacks stay perfect in SLC play, and extend their winning streak to 10 games, with wins over Lamar and Sam Houston during the week.
Banks averaged 17.0 points per game, 2.0 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game for the week. Banks shot .647 from the field and was 6-8 (.750) from behind the three point stripe for the week. He was also a perfect 6-6 at the free throw line. He scored a career high 20 points in SFA's ovretime win over Sam Houston Saturday and a team high 14 points in Thursday night's win over Lamar.
