NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team (0-2) goes in search of its first victory of the season Sunday when it invades Stillwater, Okla., to take on Oklahoma State. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
Despite the two losses, freshman goalkeeper Natascia Michalezki (Calgary, Alberta) has been spectacular at the goalkeeper position. She has recorded 27 saves in 180 minutes of action (1.50 goals against average). Michalezki's 14 saves in the season-opener against LSU placed her in a two-way tie with former Ladyjack Jessica Goelz as the fourth-best day in school history. Her 13 saves against North Texas was the fifth-best single-game in school history. With just 12 more saves, Michalezki will move into the SFA top 10 for saves in a single season.
The Ladyjacks next game will be Friday, Sept. 13, at Tennessee-Martin. The game is slated to get started at 5 p.m.
