Meet The 'Jacks Set For August 20

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Fans of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team will get an early opportunity to meet members of the team Tuesday, August 20 at the Fredonia Hotel when the Fredonia Rotary Club hosts "Meet the Lumberjacks".
The annual event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at the Fredonia Hotel and Convention Center. Tickets for the bar-b-que dinner are $10 each and are available from any member of the Fredonia Rotary and also at area backs. Each ticket for the event will also be good for one general admission ticket to an upcoming Lumberjack football game.
The 'Jacks opened fall camp August 7 when freshmen reported for the start of two-a-day practices. Veterans reported Friday afternoon and the team will go through preseason practices for the next two weeks in preparation for the August 31 season opener against Portland State.
SFA opens the home portion of its schedule September 7 against Montana State.
