NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team opens the 2002 season Saturday against Louisiana State. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., from Homer Bryce Stadium. It will be only the second time the two teams have met in soccer. The Tigers shutout SFA, 6-0, in 1995.

The Ladyjacks received 17 points to place right behind Northwestern State. The Ladyjacks were picked to finish fifth in a poll of the league sports information directors. SFA received 24 points in the SID preseason poll to place them right behind Louisiana-Monroe.
