Ladyjack Volleyball Receives Academic Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - For a third consecutive season, the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team has received the AVCA/Molten Team Academic Award announced the AVCA Friday afternoon.
The award is given to both collegiate and high school volleyball teams that set the standard in the classroom, by achieving a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
The Ladyjack volleyball team sported five Academic All-Southland Conference selections, while senior Angie Wood (Houston, Texas) was named 2001 Verizon second-team Academic All-District.
SFA opens up the 2002 season Friday, Aug. 30th, against New Mexico at the Wichita State Tournament.
