NACOGDOCHES - Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack assistant basketball coach Dayna Westbrook is stepping down after one season announced SFA Athletics Director Steve McCarty Wednesday.
Westbrook is looking to return to the high school ranks as a head coach. During her eight seasons as a head coach at Central Heights High School, she won two district titles, one regional title and a state championship. Westbrook also cited that she wants to be able to spend more time with her family.
In her one season with the Ladyjack basketball program, Westbrook helped guide SFA to a 24-6 overall record, a Southland Conference regular-season title and tournament title and a berth in the NCAA tournament.
