Lumberjack Pole Vaulter is Preseason Favorite

Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack pole vaulter Adam Keul (Tyler, Texas) was named as the preseason pick to win the NCAA Championships in the pole vault in the January addition of Track and Field News.
Keul is one of the the Southland Conference's top vaulters and is the school's indoor (18-7.50) and outdoor (18-4.00) record holder. A two-time All-American pole vaulter, Keul was the 2001 indoor NCAA runner-up with his personal-best vault of 18-7.50.
Keul will return to action Saturday when the Lumberjacks travel to Baton Rouge, La., for the LSU Purple Tiger.
