Evatt Named Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week

Nacogdoches - Senior goalkeeper Elizabeth Evatt (Plano, Texas) was named league defensive player of the week announced the Southland Conference Tuesday.
Evatt played 166 minutes and 50 seconds of shutout soccer against Arkansas State and Birmingham Southern to help the Ladyjacks to a 2-0 start. Evatt faced 19 shots and recorded 10 saves as the Ladyjacks won the Lady Indian Invitational.
SFA returns to the field Sunday to take on East Central Oklahoma at 2 p.m. The match is scheduled to be played at Homer Bryce Stadium. Admission is free.
