Nacogdoches, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin State University Athletic Department has entered into an agreement with TXU Communications to become an "Official Corporate Partner of SFA Athletics" for the 2001-2002 athletic year.
"SFA is a highly respected learning institution and we are extremely honored to have the opportunity to support its athletic program," states TXU Communications Sales Director Bruce Bradford. "I feel that together, we are a winning team."
The deal, which includes an option for 2002-2003, makes TXU Communications the exclusive long-distance telephone and ISP (Internet service provider) partner for SFA Athletics.
"Adding a company such as TXU Communications to the SFA Athletic family is a great leap forward in our new corporate partner program," according to Gregg Fort, associate athletic director for external affairs. "This is a natural partnership for SFA Athletics and we are excited about getting underway."
TXU Communications will receive permanent signage at Homer Bryce Stadium and William R. Johnson Coliseum, radio advertising inventory during all SFA football and basketball games, television advertising inventory during selected local broadcasts, Internet advertising on www.sfajacks.com, tabling rights at selected SFA home events and other considerations.
"This partnership creates further end roads with Stephen F. Austin State University, as well as the friends of SFA, including students, faculty and staff, alumni, residents and businesses," added Bradford. "We appreciate the opportunity to partner with SFA and, after all, we employ many SFA graduates."
Other major SFA Athletic "Official Corporate Partners" include Anhueser-Busch, Bancorp South, Brookshire Brothers Conoco, Chili's, Cingular Wireless, The Daily Sentinel, John Deere and Papa John's Pizza, Regions Bank and Sonic.
